2 Stars NOT SO GREAT
I WAS DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS MAGAZINE. WISH I’D BOUGHT IT OFF THE NEWS STAND FIRST.
5 Stars Deliciously Decadent
I have received two issues of this wonderful magazine and it’s killing me to have to wait to try the recipes. With two broken wrists all I can do is drool and dream until the time comes when I can use my hands once again and enjoy the wonderful art of home cooking with the wonderful Food Network.
Not only are there delicious recipes that would make anyone dribble down their chins but there is also tips, tricks and tidbits that you would most likely miss out on if watching the show. I have been through the two issues several times and always find something I missed reading the time before.
The only thing better than this magazine is having the proper tools too cook with. A must love for the home cook or professional. YAY, doing the happy dance over a magazine that is well worth it’s weight in gold.
4 Stars Sensational!!
Very Delighted with my Food Network Magazine! Arrived earlier than promised, beautifully put together. Great pictures! I really liked the recipe index with colored pictures & page numbers on them! I also like the personal tidbits on celebrity chefs, like the inside look into Bobby Flay’s kitchen at home. I like the top secret recipe in “copy that!” The arrangement of the magazine was well put together with lots of color photos! I saw some recipes I will definitely try, one of them is Cat Cora’s crispy “Fried” chicken, homemade pappardelle & pan-fried cod w/ slaw to name a few. Very happy with my purchase! Can’t wait for the next issue to come!
5 Stars Better than I expected
The magazine is better than I expected. I watch the food channel and enjoy it very much so I thought I would try the magazine. It’s full of great ideas and good recipes and not too much advertising.
5 Stars Excellent Magazine
This is a great magazine with fabulous and numerous recipes each month. I was pleasantly surprised with the content and have already made several of the meals. The first issue that I received had close to 100 different recipes.

Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking

While the phrase artisan bread typically evokes images of labor-intensive sessions and top-notch ingredients, for authors Hertzberg and François it means five minutes. An intriguing concept—high-quality, fresh bread in less time than it takes to boil water. The authors’ promises of no kneading, no starter, no proofing yeast and no need for a bread machine is based on the concept of mixed and risen high-moisture dough stored in the fridge for up to two weeks (dough is cut into pieces and popped in the oven for fresh loaves as desired). Note: for those tracking minutes, the five-minutes doesn’t include the 20-minute resting time for dough or 30 minutes for baking. After concise, introductory chapters on ingredients, equipment, and tips and techniques, readers are presented with the master recipe, a free-form loaf of French boule that is the model for all breads in the book. Three main chapters—Peasant Loaves, Flatbreads and Pizzas and Enriched Breads and Pastries—are filled with tempting selections and focus on ethnic breads and pastries including Couronne from France; Limpa from Scandinavia; Ksara from Morocco; Broa from Portugal; and Chocolate-Raisin Babka from the Ukraine, but the basics (Oatmeal Bread, Bagels, White Bread) are all here, too. A smattering of companion recipes such as Tuscan White Bean Dip and Portuguese Fish Stew are peppered throughout. While experienced bakers and true gourmands will skip this one, those looking for an innovative approach to making bread just might find it in these recipes. (Nov.)

5 Stars This is the bread method for me and my family
I wanted to find a way to make good bread for my family. I am tired of my current options for store bought bread. This book has given the real answer. Once you mix up the initial batch, you can have good bread within an hour any day of the week. An added bonus has been the sticky bun rolls, made from the same base bread. My husband, who normally likes plain white bread, has raved about the bread. We’re sold.
5 Stars Excellent Bread!
This book is great! You have to actually read it before you start using the recipes, otherwise it doesn’t work as well. We were very pleased with the original recipe, the oatmeal bread, and the whole wheat. We are excited to try others! It is true, you really can make artisan bread in five minutes a day!
5 Stars This book delivers!
I made two loafs of the master recipe boules today and my husband and I just enjoyed the first one with our dinner. All I can say is WOW! The taste, texture, and moistness are spot on and the process is unbelievably easy. If you love to bake for your family, try the recipes in this book. You will not regret it!
5 Stars Homemade bread in minutes
This is the best book I ever bought. My husband thinks I’m a genious when it comes to making bread now.He always has loved my cooking. But know he really thinks that my homemad bread I make is like desert. It is so easy to make. It”s like cheating. And to think I used to buy fresh baguett bread and thought it was such a treat. It was expensive and a treat to have the fancy bakery bread. Now we can have it every day.And toasting it for breakfast is a treat.I should be getting a finders fee for all the extra books these two authors are selling.Because I can’t say enough about the book.I have referred at least five of my freinds to this site to buy the same book.
5 Stars Great Book for the Bread Lover’s
A friend suggested this book to me. Wow, what a great find! I could not imagine such simple recipes that could produce such yummy bread. I am having so much fun trying out the different bread options. It is perfect for intertaining, family meals, gift giving (a loaf of bread will brighten anyone’s day!) and knowing that you are making healthy choices in your food preparation is wonderful. No kneading!! No long hours of preparation for a single loaf ….. Great Book, please try it.
